Installed a new magnaflow SI/DO kit

well I put on my new maggie kit yesterday, right now it has the resonator still inplace and I'm using the 18" muffler that comes in the kit. I have a couple sound clips for your enjoyment.

cold start up

Inside during medium throttle 0-40 mph take off

I don't remember how to get the video to show so here is the link to the videos

I have a 4' chunk of 2.5" stainless tubing and some stainless band clamps on order from amazon to swap out the 18" muffler for a 14" si/do and do a resonator delete. So stay tuned and I'll update when I get that done.

Wow you are very lucky to get that system just for $705. As I checked today, you are right its now over $800-$900. The cheapest I found was with 4wheelonline for $869.64 with free shipping. I hope that the price would drop again soon.

As promised, I installed the 14" maggie sido today and did the resonator delete on my truck. I even took a few sound clip videos for comparison.

Out of box magnaflow cat-back 18" SI/DO with resonator

18" maggie and resonator delete

14" maggie SI/DO and resonator delete

You can notice a difference in the sound clips but when your standing next to it, or in the truck it's a huge difference.

With the extra piping and stainless band clamps and the 14" muffler I spent around $950 for the entire setup, but I got back 100 bucks by selling the barely used 18" muffler.

Damn I can't believe how good that sounds with the resonator, why did you go to the 14" from the 18", just not loud enough? Do you get the ugly rasp sound now with it cause that's what I had with a 14" magnaflow on my 5.0. Also what happened to your tips ?

That's exactly why I went with the 14. I had a maggie 18 sido on my 07 FX4 with a 5.4 and it wasn't very loud so I decided to go with the smallest sido muffler manaflow made. The tips were dirty when I made the later videos, but they clean up real easy.

O ok thanks for the reply! It sounds good either way at low rpms, I just couldnt stand the higher rpm raspy sound so I got a borla on mine instead now
