Magnaflow and CA CARB?

Quick question: is the Magnaflow Off-road Pro series California CARB Compliant? My truck currently passes with flying colors and I don't want to screw that up. I know little about about CA emissions laws I ride motorcycles and they don't smog or inspect here. Thanks for any help. Oh and is the K&N air filter actually worth it? On my bike I get better performance with the OEM air filter, the K&N is garbage for the bike. I don't want to do a CAI yet and have already done the Gotts mod and I'm looking at getting an SC3. Thanks for the questions.

Since you did the gotts mod you can upgrade to a good dry filter like amsoil.. I wouldn't do an oilled filter they can foul out your maf sensor.
Sorry but I'm no help with the CA laws..

I don't think there is a CARB restriction on mufflers. The big restriction is on Catalytic Converters, as in there are no aftermarket available for our trucks in California thanks to the CARB regulations (there is 1 available for the 05 Miller Catalyzer corp...whoever they are). The Cats have to have the CARB stamp on them...and there has to be documentation for replacement...

Hope that helps?

Regards!

Thanks to the both of ya! Is it really an upgrade from motorcraft? I have a wix in there now, but I've used wix for years in my bike so I trust wix.

The advantage to the Amsoil air filter is it's a cleanable dry filter.

Right, no imbedding action with nano fiber media.
