Mandrel Bends, All Stainless, True Duals COMPLETE!

I've been displeased with my exhaust for sometime. The Magnaflow muffler has been loud as crap for a few months now (blown out after 2 years) plus the local shop really screwed up when I had them replace my tips. They not only replaced the tips but the pipe going from the muffler to the tips and did the old crush bends on it. Well last week my work took me to Fort Lauderdale and I began searching for an exhaust shop that could do mandrel bends. I found http://www.cmperformanceexhaust.com/ and called them up. David seemed to be on top of his stuff and said he could fit me in the week I was there. Did some digging and found nothing but good stuff about him so I went for it. Instead of my work van I took the truck. Here are some pics of what I had and my new Stainless system featuring mandrel bends, tig welds, 18" mufflers, and 4" double wall tips from Thermal R&D private labeled for CM Performance. She is now completly Stainless with Mandrel bends from the Dynatech LT headers to the tips.

These first two pics are the old stuff

Thanks! I'm very pleased. It sounds great. Very deep. Last night I floored it for the first time and when she got up in around 4000 plus rpms it sounded wicked. Looked down and saw 14psi on the boost gauge and nearly crapped myself. She was loving the air last night. Hope to get a vid of the exhaust this weekend when I go racing.

She's more efficient for sure. Egt's have dropped 10 degrees and she got 16.1 mpg hauling a 1000lbs of work stuff. That was with the cruise set on 80mph coming home from Florida 3 tanks in a row.

Sweet fancy Moses!! ^^

Free-flowing exhaust makes quite the difference indeed in a boosted vehicle, huh? Those are some impressive initial observations! Reckon what all of that would amount to on the ol' dyno sheet?

I can't wait to see a vidya!

Awesome! Gonna be switching to dual wall tips as well. Hopefully 4.5" per tip since these trucks dwarf 4"

I'm so frustrated. Why did I not go with true duals in the first place? Your truck just LOOKS efficient

No need in your case, bud. Unless you go with LTs and/or are boosted, the true duals won't gain you very much, if anything, in the way of tangible gains.

Truck is looking GREAT man. Congrats on the new setup. Glad to see you still modding and keeping up with it. Under Cab is in great condition too. Reminds me of mine. I wash and clean under mine like twice a week. It's a lowered truck, so no mud under the cab for this guy lol.

And I agree so much on the 4" tips on our trucks. They look like babies on here. . . so I am upgrading to 4 1/2" also. That should cure it for me

When can we get some videos of this beast? Cold Start, Fly-By, Cruise. You know, the usual, usual.

Thanks! Hope to shoot some vids this weekend at the drag strip. We will see. I need to get my hands on a GoPro camera. The Roush tips I had were 4.5" but single wall. These double wall tips are 4" but since you see the way they are swept inside they look great. A lot of shiny steel lol. I haven't cleaned under mine in a while. It needs it again.

How big are the new mufflers? I might redo mine for quiet setup

They are 5"x9"x18". Much quieter at idle and crusing is nice. However they are still not as quiet at I wanted. I can listen to the radio on volume 3 while crusing if that helps any. But I will say when you crack that throttle its a thunderous roar. So while I'm not factory quiet like I wanted the deep tone has me hooked
