It won't be 'too quiet' soon. Patience, glasshoppa, patience!

Well yeah that 18" is weak! That was the first muffler on my 03. My gf always mentioned how loud it was, and I always thought to myself "am I deaf?"

Did you swap it out to something else? I would have never guessed that 18" would be that quiet in just a 5x8 oval!!

I went to a 14" magnaflow then went to a bullet. My truck was loud and sounded great. But it would be crazy loud and too loud with high flows and LTs

Not that I'm gonna do it just yet since my LT's and hi-flows are awaiting installaion sometime in Aug, but for informations sake, how drastic and/or how significant was the improvement going from the 18" to the 14" in the same muffler??

If LT's and cats were not on my to-do list, I would theoretically be swapping out most likely to that same 14" since it would be a super easy swap for my muffler guy and especially since my pipes are already there for that SI/DO muffler.

Also, why then did you successively swap that one out...still wasn't loud enough??

I originally bought the truck and it had a 18" dumped. I don't like single dumps before the axel. Yours is an exception. I then put it out the side before the rear tire. Sounded better but lacked volume. The 14" was a tad louder, but more pop. I then said F it and went with a bullet. It was out the side before the rear tire and sounded absolutely amazing. The drone got me so I put it out back behind the rear tire until I sold the truck. I loved my exhaust.

If you search on YouTube for "therealmig89" all my exhaust videos will be there.
