I'm picky, I'd rather go name brand with things like that.

Especially in the salty wintery north, you don't want to replace headers twice due to it being a p-i-t-m-f-a task

I know these forums keep saying that, but my OBX gaskets don't leak.

The fourms also say the factory exhaust studs suck also... mine are working like a champ.

OBX is also 304 stainless....

Which any 304 stainless is going to rust and pit with salt no matter what. Get the headers coated and it should prevent rusting/pitting up north.

The studs suck.........when they've broken off or nuts rust so bad!!! Then and only then do they suck like anything else would too. Wished mine were in better shape, I'd a re-used them!!

If you're worried about them pitting and being exposed to elements, wash them every so often. Asthetically over time, sure they may look crappy but anything would and it's an exhaust so as long as there is no holes or leaks, you're good to go!! PS, there was a thread a while back about Dynatechs turning crappy, or pitting or.... On a budget, OBX was the way to go, otherwise I would have went Dynatech's and had someone else install them lol!!

I have had OBX LT's on my truck for two winters now, and they have definately pitted and discolored a bit, but they discolored pretty much on the first decent drive I did. I used aftermarket gaskets and locking header bolts, although I never have put the locks on as I couldn't even get to a lot of them anyway.

Ya, I didn't put the locks on either. Mostly because I ran out of time but ya, could maybe put half on anyways.

Sparktek motorsports, via website not ebay. I've heard good and bad for any of the few distributors of obx.

Bad like returns, missing parts, warranty issues. Now, this is from mostly the "tuner" crowd, others had praise so I took a shot. No issues by me.

Benefits of long over short, more power, more sound, from what others have said. Some have had both and prefer long ones.

I've always heard supplied gaskets suck, so we put OEM gaskets on stealth's truck and they leaked, put supplied OBX gaskets on and fixed that problem

What size outlet is the 0bx kit? Id like to do this one day and was planning on a 3" inlet muffler.

The OBX kit, like all others bolts up to aftermarket cat backs or stock. Then is the time to get a after cat system, or custom one. OBX ends with a 2.5" single pipe. After cat exhausts start with stock size. My exhaust then expanded into a 3" SI/SO system. For newer trucks, I believe is the exact same idea.
