Upcoming exhaust setup
Upcoming exhaust setup
Being a former two time mustang and roush owner, I have some unused parts laying around. So I decided to get a true dual exhaust fabbed up. Gonna be stock manifolds, SLP high flow cats, borla stinger mufflers, and a x-pipe crossover. Gonna route it harley style. I just need to purchase the tips. Im thinking 3.5" x 12" slash cut black tips. Should sound pretty sick.
I've been on the fence with what size tips to buy. I was gonna buy 18" tips but after doing some measuring I think 12" will be just the right length.

I am waiting on the x-pipe crossover and the two tips to arrive. I went with two 3.5" mbrp double wall tips. The stingers I chopped off a custom made roush exhaust I had made years ago for the 01 S3 Roush that I had. The high flow cats I have had since before that. I am trying to find a shop that has stainless but I believe aluminized is in my future.
I had a 03 mustang gt with slp lt headers, no cats, and one of the first prototype borla stinger catbacks before they were even available. I worked part time for amazon racing, now known as amazon tuning solutions. They actually prototyped the stinger system for the terminators for borla. I love the stinger sound. A few years later when I bought the roush I bought some mufflers direct from borla to make a custom exhaust. At that time, stingers (muffler only) weren't even available. I paid a fortune to have a set pulled from the production line. I sold the roush but saved the exhaust knowing one day I would have a use for it. But a f150 is no stang; I'm hoping it isn't too loud with the high flow cats.
