lookin for some input

01 f150 5.4 with the typical manifold leak. Right now it's not too bad, just the passenger side is givin a slight tick for now (noticeable under throttle) but livin here in WNY, it's gettin worse and I'm sure the other side is too. And I was thinkin about gettin em fixed in the summer, but I was askin to see if I should stick with manifolds or buy some shorty headers. I've read all about long tubes and shortys and how shortys really provide no substantial gains. I'm just lookin for the cheapest replacement that won'tstart to rust out after one year. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Are there any particular brands I should look for? Cause like I said I'm not trying to spend an arm and a leg, I just wanna keep the truck a couple more years and I'm sick of the tick already lol and I figure I may as well get em fixed before they warp or crack

If you can get a stainless set for relatively cheap, then go that route. Don't pay out the *** for a set of JBA's or anything like those.

i won't be buying them til summer, since i don't have the money right now. but i know there are some threads on here made by people that do have them now. i'm sure you'd like em cause anything's better than that leaking manifold! and i'm sure they can add a somewhat different sound if you have an exhaust already. which i'm kinda excited about too if i do get them put on (just to hear the difference, if any haha)
