Depends on the muffler. Some magnaflow di/do mufflers have an internal x pipe, some models do not. Either way, if we were looking at dyno numbers, you should see a small increase in hp/tq with x pipe farther up in the system. Specifically where the stock y pipe is.

im thinking of going with http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BOR-400286/ im guessing this would be the one with the built in x pipe? or would i actually get more power with no muffler?

I am almost certain that Borla mufflers do not have any internal X designed DI/DO applications. The DI/DO Internal X is a poor design anyways as the X pipe should be near where the OEM Y pipe was for most positive improvement in scavenging.
