How do I remove the stock muffler?

I have everything disconnected except the part before the catalytic converters. Is there any easy way to slide the muffler out at that point? I can rotate it if I hold the tail pipe but I can't pull it off of the rest of the system.

Try a ratchet strap from the muffler to the axle or other fixed point.

I just tried to use a ratchet strap and it still didn't come off. That moved it a very small amount but I still can't get it all the way off.

Spray some penetrating oil onto the parts where it slides out and let it sit for a little and then try the rachet strap again.

x2, lubricate the hanger bushings very well and hammer or ratchet it out, bring the tailpipe over the rear axle so it all comes out from under the side of the cab.

Just cut it ha, even if you get it off without cutting it your still gonna have to cut the pipe from where it connected from where it gets crimped with the exhaust hangers. Go to town with a sawzall, cut off wheel, or a hack saw if thats all you have haha

Haha I would love to cut it off after all this trouble but my parents are most likely going to make me put it back on. I realize that is probably not going to be possible if it is this tight taking it out but I'll have to try something.
