Exhaust help

I just recently purchased a 06 F150 super cab 5.4L and im looking to add a exhaust. Im looking for something that is not loud just has a little rumble to it but not much louder than stock and some thing inexpensive. Im looking for a single out that comes out behind the rear wheel like the factory does. My buddy had a flowmaster single chamber muffler installed on his 06 fx4 and it was perfect had a little rumble but not loud. But he sold the truck and dont remember what muffler he had installed. I also know there are a few companies I seen on ebay that make a catback exhaust like MBRP, Gibson and Flowmaster. But I dont know how loud they are. I appreciate any help!

Is that a catback system or a muffler. Also do you have a model number? Thanks!

A bullet is essentially a glasspack basically, but i think they retain their sound. but ive heard they drone bad from a few of the senior members. id go with magnaflow. i have it, SISO and it sounds great. a little rumble at idle, nice deep tone under load. has good noise manners, loud enough to know ya got an exhaust, handles drone well

Ok do you have a model number? Is it just a muffler or a full cutback? If it's just a muffler do I just buy that and have an exhaust shop cut out my factory muffler and weld the magnaflow in?

it was already on the truck when i got it. you can buy the muffler and have a muffler shop put it on, or ya can put on a catback. but magnaflow catbacks cost like 600 bucks. if ya want just the muffler, mine was i think 4" tall 9" wide and 15" long. and magnapacks are somethin to think about. wat sort of sound are you wanting? mellow and deep or aggressive and throaty?

If you want to just do a simple muffler swap, then a Bullet or Magnapack will suffice. Not too sure about drone levels on a single one so it might be bearable. But I must ask which you would prefer, loud and aggressive or deep and mellow?
