The impossible might have happened...

I think that I may actually.... be tired of my Magnapacks.... Not from the amazing tone and aggressiveness, but from the unbearable drone on the freeways. Me and passengers get tired of it pretty quickly on extended trips. Maybe it's time to finally take them off and put some Magnaflow 11's on.

Hopefully Darren will chime in and give me the part numbers for his old mufflers because I think that's what I'm gonna go with.

Dang! The last loud one here is toning down too. Bound to happen I suppose haha. Still planning LTs? Might want to consider ProXS in that case.

The 11s I had were #11366

LT's and possibly a 2v 5.4 might still come, but not until I get a proper job and a second car. Thanks for the p/n. Do the 11's only come with offset in/outs?

Your truck sounds so good though. I'm thinking about dual 5"x14" magnapacks with an x-pipe and stock cats. Will that combination get annoying on long drives? I drive an hour to go hunting probably 3 to 4 days a week during deer and turkey season. And will putting the magnapacks under the bed help? I have the 5.4 V8.

Drone will be bad, even with stock cats, but the overall tone will be deeper with the 5.4 compared to my 281.

you had me scared, but then I realized you are still staying with magnaflow. I thought you were going to switch over to flowmaster or something lol

I just added one Borla pro xs 14" body muffler in before my ROR muffler and my exhaust with the obx lt's with small cats has no drone at all anymore and quieted things down significantly, but still sounds great. I need to get better vids.

No way. That's where he started at, a SI/DO 40 Series. Don't remind him of it, it was a long confused tome ago when exhaust was strictly for sound...

The same more or less. The 11's are offset so there's a slight bend in them.

Does the offset make less drone or what?

11's are oval bodies so less drone off the bat. Round bodies are louder and = more drone

How much difference is there between the oval 11s and magnapacks besides less drone. Are the 11s significantly quieter, lower or higher pitch, etc...? And are the 11s the same straight through design as magnapacks or are they chambered or what?

Your over the drone too huh?! It would be ok if the truck wasnt a DD. I want this truck to be toned down too. And then get a cobra that screams. Are you gonna go with the 11s?
