Egr?

I have a 2005 f150 with a 5.4 and I'm looking at some Gibson headers, only problem is that it says they have no EGR. From the research I have done I see people go both ways with some saying you need it and others saying you don't. My state has no emissions test so we are good there, but I am really wondering if I will lose performance by disconnecting the EGR or if the truck will run fine without it?

The EGR as in the front O2 sensors? I don't believe Gibson produces Longtube headers, just shorts, so shortys do not have front O2 sensor bungs in them as they are not long enough to need them. So it sounds like the add is stating they aren't O2 mounting since you shouldn't have to mess with them at all for shortys.

from what I am reading it says the EGR hook up is on the LH manifold, so replacing the manifold with these headers will not allow you to attach the EGR again, it didn't say anything about O2 sensors and I think those are attached to the exhaust tubeing that comes off the manifold.
