I am thinking I may do just that. Still keeping my options open, though. Maybe I'll have him just band clamp the muffler in, so I can change it at will.

My opinion is, Ford had to do everything that they could to achieve the hp and tq numbers that they did with the 3.7. If I had to guess, I'd say that doing too much with the exhaust could actually lower the hp and/or tq numbers.

I personally would really like to see a flash tuner for the 3.7.

From what I have heard (working in a Ford service dept, and being tight with our FSE) there is not a whole lot of room for improvement in the direct injection engines. Guys have been blowing holes in pistons-WITH FUEL!-trying to get more power.
