And pic's of the new exhaust.

Never mind, I saw it in the other thread. I'm really considering Borla or Roush.

I put a caliper to mine yesterday and was surprised to see that directly downstream of the Y the pipe is 3" then is stepped down to 2.5" going through the resonator and into the muffler , then out at 3.0" I was wandering what Fords strategy is in doing this, if the want to increase velocity for torque/HP or reduce noise?

Looks like the only useful part is the pipe after the muffler. Haha.

A center to center inlet and outlet is needed...

No offset..

Straight through.

When you take apart the connection before the muffler, a piece of 2-1/2" pipe will fit right in.

You'll want to bend the locking tab on top of the pipe so you can slide the muffler out of that band clamp connection.

Feel it with your fingers, its on the muffler side of the band clamp. the muffler section has a nub on it, and the truck side has a slot. you can pry up the slotted part with a small pry bar or screw driver.

I tugged and pulled to no avail on my 2010... I managed to get my pointy head up high enough to see that locking tab...

F**kin' thing...

So I'm ready to pull the trigger on maggie 12579 center I/O 3" si/so from per. ped. And have it fabbed in w/res in tact. From what I've read it'll give me want I'm looking for.
