4.5" or 5" tip?

Okay so I'm deciding between a corsa or borla SISO cat back exhaust for my truck but I want a tip similiar to a tip you would see on a diesel truck without looking too goofy or trying to look like i'm trying to make my truck look like a superduty. I really want this RBP one in either a 4.5" or 5"

What are some of ya'lls opinions on how this would look and do any of ya'll have a similiar size tip on your truck or pic's of some?
Thanks

Id go with either, .5 isn't a huge difference, I went 4'' and wish I would have gone 4.5 but I am completely satisfied with what I have now. I think the RBP looks good, might just have to paint mine black, and slap a chrome RBP logo on em! haha

haha yea man I was thinking about some how doing that cause those things get pretty pricey for just an exhaust tip and emblem, but yea I guess the 5inch would be a good choice.

To not look goofy, you should be asking about a 3.5" or a 4" tip.

I went with a 4" MBRP Black powercoated tip. I love the way it looks. I would leave the 5" tips for the diesels IMO

After much consideration, when I took the plunge for exhaust I got 4" slash cut tips. I think anything bigger is overkill unless you get a 250 or bigger truck.

Agreed, anything over 4" looks dumb on a 150. I personally like the look of the 3.5" better than the 4", and the sound of the 4" better than the 3.5".

IMO leave the 5" tips on F150s to the ones lifted 8"s+.

Maybe a dumb question, but what is the difference in sound between 3.5" and 4" tips? I'm guessing the 4" has a deeper tone and more resonation?

i had 3.5 on mine but they seemed just a little to small, if i ever do another exhaust set up id run 4.5. but i do agree 5 is a little to big.

And for the love of god dont run stacks i moved to north FL and see a lot of gas trucks that have them.

Either way, 4.5 or 5 inches, gonna look way too goofy with that huge tip hanging on a spindly pipe on a gas truck ..... like trying to look "superdutyish".

A nice 3 .... maybe 3.5" dia tip with a rolled lip would look much better .... or split the pipe up under the truck and have two 3" tips side by side exit.
JMHO.
