Thanks TruckGuy24!!!

I'll get some vids up soon.

It roars with that tip....

Its great when your doing a 120kph on the 401... My tire size and gear ratio pump my motor just over 2000rpm... It sounds awsome.

I usually drive around 100kph to keep the revs down for mileage..

It does make a difference.

^ Good deal. I told ya, just a few bends will make a difference in sound. That bigger tip also helped out a lot I would say. In general, the larger tips sound better.

Thanks Avfrog

It was totally the funky bend.

I don't think you guys realize.... It just didn't sound right...

It sounded like a 96 Caravan V6 pinning it up a hill... If you've ever heard one of those...lol

The sound was there, but it wasn't..

If you look at the pics of the bend, I'm sure you noticed the way he coupled the pipes... Not in favour of good flow.

When it was inserted, he must have tweak it to much, I can see it not flush in the expanded part of the piece going to the muffler... It might as well have been a crimp bend..

Here... this looks terrible... But this is what I meant by it blocking the flow and possibly being the reason for that wierd sound...

The blue is showing how the inserted pipe continues in to the recieving pipe...

Give ya a better Idea of what I meant...

So you think it was more of an install error than part selection?

The new install looks really good man.

Thanks stephen92

I'm thinking it was install issues.

The tailpipe could have been made all as one if the guy took his time.

What tip did you use on the original install? I am thinking of doing a similar mod, and I like the look of it.

I think it was this one.

They cut it so it would fit on the 2-1/2....

They have others on that site that would be better.

Quite possibly the most OCD thread that I have seen on this site outside of the detailing forum.
