it is what it is...

I'm satisfied with it.

It just sounds like a straight pipe over 4000rpm is all...

I like the look and I like the sound.

It will be staying awhile.

Well its definatly got some "flutter" in the high RPM.

It sounds like its leaking almost.... But there is nowhere for it to leak...

I think I might go back tomorrow after work and ask if they can snip it off and just do a big 4x16" tip...

Get rid of that goofy bend.

Anyone have any suggestions why I'm getting that flutter?

^ Dude. It's a pick-up, not a mustang. It will never sound perfect. The more bends in an exhaust system, the more it changes the sound. This is just how these trucks sound with loud pipes. Many people are perfectly happy with a similar system as yours. Besides that, how often are you in the 3500+ RPM range? 90% of your driving will be under 2500, and that is where they sound great at. Nice deep growl.

In my opinion, it would sound better with dual tips ran in front of the rear tire, but I would hate to suggest that to you. You seam to be very picky, and I have no idea if you would like the sound better of not. It would be louder, but it would sound different as well. If that makes any since. Fewer bends...

I think all of use on this forum are a little picky or else we wouldn't mod our trucks.

Well... That fluttery rasp was eating at me enough to get it changed.

I took it back to the shop, and I took the guy out and made it make the noise...

Its quite noticable and not right. They looked all over for a leak, but there wasn't one. So he said he'd fix it for me.

So they removed the maccaroni noodle out of my fender to start...

Then I got the fella's at the shop to re-do a bit of the tail pipe and add a nice 4x16" Magnaflow tip...

It sounds sooooo much better... Flutter is gone.

Also it looks a bit better... the tucked style tip need a companion on the other side... It didn't look right to me...

Here it is...

I'll get some vids one day when its get nicer out.
