Anyone upgrade your Throttle Body for Horsepower?
How much gain?
Is it worth the money ?

 

Simply, no.

 

Stock throttle body provides all the engine can use unless you are heavily modded with cams or supercharger.

BBK Claims Adds 8-15 extra horsepower and crisp throttle response ??

 

You can only fit 5 lbs of crap in a 5lbs hole. you cannot shove 10lbs of crap in a 5lbs hole.

the TB is bigger but the intake manifold it not bigger. if you make the intake manifold bigger you have to make the runners bigger and if you do that you have to port the heads to get full effect of a larger TB

someone explained that to me before. i was looking into the BBK one as well.

but built 5.4 told me it will just make Throttle response better. and i didnt wanna buy that for throttle response.

I have one but my truck is supercharged. It was a little difference but butt dyno doesn't know the true gain

 

well DUH, they are trying to make money, same thing the throttle body spacers are advertised to gain...


just because they don't work doens't mean people will stop buying 'em
