Mandrel pipes
Mandrel pipes
I bought all the parts for my exhaust Xpipe, magnapacks, high flow cats, tips, brackets, etc. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some mandrel bent pipes for my 06 5.4l f150 4x4?? (also 6.5 ft bed) I wanna do the install myself but don't have access to the pipes.

What size you looking for? Jegs or summit racing has some pieces.

2.5" pipes
I went to two local shops today, one won't do true duels, then then next one said I couldn't find a shop with mandrel bent pipes in the state of Fl???
I wouldn't trust those pre-made mandrel bent pipes. I would think that you would have to buy a lot of them to be able to make all the proper angles, and it's not guaranteed to all line up.

X2 there ok if you got a simple exhaust set up. but on a truck it would be a pain in the *** if your doing dules past the rear axle
The first shop I went to turned me down. "I never seen duals put on an F-150" were the owners exact words. On to the next one...and the next one, it took a few more shops but found one.
thats why i'am take sum pics of how i want it done and show them.
thanks for the input
Thats how I feel about them. I really just want to find a shop in the Jacksonville area that can do it right for me.
As for the shops who turned down my business....A whole nother problem in itself it seems today.
You might have to venture out to the surrounding counties to find a shop that is capable of mandrel bending pipes, and of a high enough competence to tackle the job.
The guy I have do all my work initially said it couldn't be done, but after some explaining and some pictures, he was able to replicate it close enough. He didn't have a mandrel bender or stainless pipes, but he was willing to do the work and was also the cheapest I could find.
I am going to go back one day and find a shop to redo everything in 2.5" 304 stainless pipes with mandrel bends, but I should be good for a couple more years.

I am putting the same setup you have with 2.5" piping. How did you do your cats and O2 sensors? AS of right now I am just replacing 2 cats with high flows.
I just cut my 2 OEM cats off and welded in the 2 hi-flows. Then I had the O2's welded on the cat bodied right behind the cat guts. It's been almost a year and they're still doing their jobs with no issues.
