When I lived in PA before I moved to OK, I bought a test pipe for my 3.0L Ranger that I could swap out for the cats when inspection rolled around.
The test pipe with a Flowmaster 40 series SI/DO really woke that thing up. Here is a sound clip of what that little V6 sounded like afterwards.

I'm not sure if I'm going to want to pay for high flow cats at the moment, I might just end up doing a si/do with the stock cat which is only like a year old and put it on for inspection only. same with some cheap glass packs or a si/do muffler to replace a y pipe.
And that ranger sounds freakin amazing for a v6

High flow cat or no? Do they even offer the high flow cat in 2.25 or 2.5?

If it isn't too much I'll get a high flow cat or punch out n weld in a pipe so I can false up the cat I have sittin on the bench, 2.5 si 2.25 do flowmaster probably a 44, I can't afford a stainless set up like on the new ten series.

Okay thanks.
The more I think about it the more I want to get another cat just from a junker car, friends beater caddy and weld reducer pipes on them to make em 2.25 in and out, get them put on but only with clamps and then take them back off after emissions.
If the mufflers sound good they will stay.
What would you guys suggest, no cats or no mufflers?

Is the 94106 actually a high flow? it just says it's a universal on the summit site.
