Going to duals

Well I've had enough of listening to all motor in the white truck. Going to finally do it. I'm at a toss up of deciding between doing 2 1/4" pipe or 2 1/2". 2 1/4" pipe keeping your low end power for towing and 2 1/2" more top end power. Correct? Now, if you are going to run 2 1/4" pipe, when purchasing the mufflers and x pipe do you purchase 2 1/2" so it slides over the pipe?

2 14" Magnapacks-Magnaflow Part# 10415

1 X-Pipe

2 Magnaflow Part# 35121
Eventually going to run these tips tucked up under the body 45d out the rear. In this fashion

My opinion is go with 2.5" because the bending will neck it down.

i just did this exact setup yesterday except i used two 14" magnaflow body mufflers not magnapacks. All i can say is it sounds awesome. i went with 2.5" pipe and noticed no loss in low end power.

X2

The pipe diameter really gets narrow on the bends.

2.25 if mandrel, 2.5 if smooth bent

Well going a different route. I want more of a mild exhaust so I'm just replacing the factory muffler with a 2.5" magnapack and going to run a 4" rolled tip in the factory exit location for a clean classy look. Something that you know is there when stomped but not as noticeable on regular acceleration or cruising. So factory replacement is all. Ordered the magnapack today from PP.

I'm looking for a 4" rolled tip with 2.5" inlet but can't find any in a decent length. Only found a 5" length but looking for more of an 8" length or so. Any suggestions?

My tip is a 4" tip with 2.5" inlet. 18" long. All you need. Got it at Performance Peddler.

Just look at these tips, figure out which one you want, and type in the part number at Performance Peddler.

I don't want one that long though. I think even 12" would look strange. The biggest I've found is 4" Tip 2.5" Inlet 5" Length, which is a tad short i feel. I don't want a whole lot of tip otherwise it will look like it's missing one on the opposite side.

This tip I think would be ideal for a clean classy factory look, but it's only 2.25.

On the contrary, longer tips look great when angled properly on dual applications. My 4"x18" 45'd

I agree. I am no longer going duals though. Just a factory replacement.
