Flowmaster vs magnaflow
i will agree that magnaflow has a better sound but they don't do well on the new fords. it maybe the way they're designed but drone will be there. the reason i suggested the flowmaster #70 series, it's a big, long muffler that has chambers to dampen sound. the flowmaster may sound a little hollow but does ots job well. the magnaflow will get louder and drone louder. this is from my experience. simply stated; the best sound may not be the right muffler.

Ditto' on that. on another subject, my mbrp, now two weeks old is starting to annoy me with its booming sound in the cab. i have a resonator behind this muffler and it's still loud and getting louder. today i will install a flowmaster 70 series in its place, along with a AR30 resonator between the cat pipe and muffler. if i can't get the desired sound here, i'm finished and going back to stock.
flowmaster #70 series
I guess i've stumbled upon the perfect exhaust for the late model F150s. great sound, absolutely no drone anywhere. at highway speeds it's almost as quiet as the corsa, about 2 decibles over stock. i believe the AR30 resonator completely eliminates that hollow soud that some speak of. it has the perfect growl when accelerating. granny would approve of this. i used the piping from the mbrp exhaust. this is my third system on this truck and have no doubt that a resonator is warranted. don't have camera but will send pics tonight.
