I think they work just fine on the '04-08 F150s (and older). Its the '09-up trucks that have a tendency to drone... in my case, WILL drone.

exhaust

Ditto' on that. on another subject, my mbrp, now two weeks old is starting to annoy me with its booming sound in the cab. i have a resonator behind this muffler and it's still loud and getting louder. today i will install a flowmaster 70 series in its place, along with a AR30 resonator between the cat pipe and muffler. if i can't get the desired sound here, i'm finished and going back to stock.

I have had a magnaflow on my 04 F150 for two years now and still love its sound and performance....no drone whatsoever. I hate the hollow metalic sound of flowdisasters.

2009's + have nearly shorty headers from factory and cats that are like the 94106s many of us run... that's why it's so loud

flowmaster #70 series

I guess i've stumbled upon the perfect exhaust for the late model F150s. great sound, absolutely no drone anywhere. at highway speeds it's almost as quiet as the corsa, about 2 decibles over stock. i believe the AR30 resonator completely eliminates that hollow soud that some speak of. it has the perfect growl when accelerating. granny would approve of this. i used the piping from the mbrp exhaust. this is my third system on this truck and have no doubt that a resonator is warranted. don't have camera but will send pics tonight.

I really liked my old #40 Flowmaster. It recently died and I have a #44 already at home to replace it. My pipes are 2.5" dia. front to back.
