^ You will have to tune for it or it will run rich, show CEL, and kill your MPG. I would never run without cats in CA though.

If you are going to run it without cats, then just cut the cats out and leave the primaries in there stock location. You can either unplug and remove the secondaries, or leave them in there stock location, but you will still need to tune for it.

By secondaries you mean the cats closest to the muffler?

Cause I have 4 cats on my truck.

I was gonna hollow 2 out and keep them on for visual and keep the other two for when it's time for emissions.

You won't worry until you get a ticket from the boys in blue (that is unless you're going to be using your truck for just O/R stuff).

Your not worried about being illegal as hell ? - Your not worried about laws everyone else needs to follow ? Your not worried about polluting, for others to inhale ?

I guess this means your not worried about being a total ***. I hope they get yuh.

Right buddy lol, - I'll explain: -It's more like thorn in my side, - I suggest you keep your fantasies your own. Sharing is revealing.

Your the only one I know of who thinks there going to casually walk into a shop and have them do this for you... - In California no less. I think your in for a surprise. An average good shop won't touch you. If they do, they taking a much larger chance of losing more than everything. Chances are, if you get caught, they are busted. I don't think you know what the hell your talking about, - you'll find out, - easy or hard.

Good Luck with that.

FYI I do have a shop that will do this work. They did it on my buddies truck and told me to bring my truck on in.

If you're not going to contribute then GTFO

My brother lives out there, -a Mustang nut. He hates running cats as well. Anyway, he has mentioned before, - you can get past the Snifer with a catted mid/catted x, that's the easy part. Problem has been and can be, -passing the visual. When/if you get pulled over, not very many will crawl under a Stang for a peek lol. If they want to be a PITA, the officer may have you follow him back to a municipal garage and lift the car for a visual. He hasn't had to do that yet, but his buddies have. What sucks about this, - he runs an X w/two High Flow Bassani's that put out less emissions than the Hybrids lol.

Law - The technical states, - all/any exhaust modifications prohibited.

Change/Modification to converter location, prohibited.

Nothing specific on Mufflers tho?

I've actually been a member here for a number of years. I went inactive for a while and then came back not remembering my other user name and password. Then I was unable to remember the e-mail I used as well so I couldn't recover the account.

Thanks Jbrew for finally giving me some kind of answer. For the visual I plan on hollowing out two of my cats so it looks like I have cats installed.
