That looks like a 4.2 v6, not a 5.4!

 

Yeah I noticed that. I couldn't manage to fit one more line on the headers to make it a 5.4.

 

It was a simple question. What if I did NOT put any cats on the truck and ran a magnapack before the y pipe how would it sound? Like in the smart a** Picture Just leave the Cats out but leave everything else the same. Im here to try to figure things out not to start crap with people!

 

Then it will sound the same/better than hi-flow cats. It will also through a CEL that will have to be fixed with a programmer or O2 eliminators. You also won't be able to pass emissions if they do a visual inspection.

 

Thats what I was wondering. I thought you said the 04 and 05's would not throw a CEL. I do not have emissions where Im at.

 

If you have 4 cats and you only remove the last 2, then it won't through a CEL. If you only have 2 cats then it will through a CEL if you don't put any new cats back on.
