are straight pipes ok to run on 2010 f150s?
Well I have mine off for TODAY only. Just ran out of time to finish it up. Bought a magnaflow 2.5.
Hope it sounds better than today. Being so loud is very annoying.
Most people seem to punch it all the time with the straight pipes and look very stupid.

There are so many Dyno proven fallacies in this thread I don't know where to start so I won't
Having SIDO straight 2 1/2" from the trans case back into 4" tips on my 07 was a pleasantry, Not obnoxious just a deep mellow rumble. My 2010 is a different story as they now come with different manifolds and only 2 Cats instead of four, Straight pipes on the 10 produced the horrible 1 7/8" straight piped small block welfare engine (350 chevy) sound that we all have heard and can not tolerate. However after adding the pro flow Louvered Core glass pack muffler it sounds perfect. My .2

When running proper AFR at WOT, you will have some crackling sound in a high performance exhaust due to some of the flame still burning when the exhaust hits your manifold/headers. At least on the '09 - '10, the stock tune on the 5.4 holds the AFR at 14.7:1 until 4500 RPM (which is silly IMO). If you run a more reasonable WOT AFR (10:1 - 12:1), you will have more power and more noise.
