18" SI/DO Mag to a 14" SI/DO Mag???

So right now I have had my Magnaflow muffler on my truck about 1.5 - 2 years very happy with it. It is the 18" muffler.
But as my truck build grows and the truck gets bigger and I think it's earning the right to have a more aggressive tone.

Thinking about going to the 14" Magnaflow muffler. Doing so will I notice or hear a difference worth the money for a new muffler??

I'd like to stick with Magnaflow as my muffler choice because I like the very minimal drone in the cab and love how it opens up when stepping on the gas.

But I'm open to hear your suggestions as well...

On another note going to be having an exhaust put on my Dads 08 F-350 for his Bday - Xmas.

He has a 5.4L in his truck as well but an 8 foot bed. Looking at Magnaflow for his as well... Which size muffler would be the best bet for his truck??

Because he has a longer bed and needs longer pipe to make it out each corner is the shorter muffler better??

He really likes the way mine sounds and he also does not want to hear a bunch of drone in the cab...

Thanks in advance for your help / opinions.

I have the 14" and it would probably make you happy. I had to add 94106 hi flows though... I needed it louder. It's still too quiet for me at times though at cruise

If you want an aggressive sound thats still tame in SI/DO format, get a Magnaflow part #14419 with a part #10778 behind it.

^ I don't see that being very "tame".

Do you have a sound clip of that set up?

it does seem like it would be on the loud side.
I had a bullet on my silverado and it was LOUD and raspy......
