Sound question.

When i bought my truck, it came with SIDO flowmasters, i do not know what series though, all i know is it isnt loud at all, at idle its okay but its pretty quiet on the road, im in highschool, but im not like every kid who wants that damn straight pipe crackle crap, i was wondering if i cut my pipes off a foot or 2 behind the muffler, if it will make it sound better or worse? and louder? also would if affect performance? The main reason i want to is cause the moron who did the exhaust welded my driver side tip on crooked....

yeah it will be louder and sound better than the flows, but I would slap on a dynomax bullet and call it a day. Sell the flowmaster and youll end up only paying for labor.

Also with the mufflers, i was lookin at the bullets on 4wheelparts, would the muffler with the smaller inlet be louder then the larger? like they have 2.5 inch inlet, 3,3.5,4, and 5.

^ Use the same size muffler as the pipe that you have running to it.

Cheapest bet and best bet then is just cut that tip and reweld it correctly. Cutting the pipes underneath will result in more rust under the bed behind them and more drone inside the cab and the truck's exhaust tone will loose definition and become just a loud "noise".
