how will it wound?
^ Nope, I agree. Overly-loud is not my thing, but if your offended by a loud exhaust, then just maybe this is not the best forum to be frequenting. This is, after all the exhaust section. I must admit, I would not like to be neighboring some guy's insane db blaster at 4 in the morning. But then again, I'm not that thin skinned to go cry a river over it.
In any case, if your so easily startled and offended, what can I say....time to hang up the keys and take a bus....

Thank you fordahaulic for correcting my spelling. I look forward in the future to your correction of all other spelling, usage and grammar mistakes in this forum, for our edification, of course. You did, however, choose to ignore the pertinent point in my comment which was "extremely loud". I'm quite sure that you, too, would be startled if someone walked up behind you and fired a shotgun. So it is not a noise issue. It is a time-and-place issue. Additionally, I was not speaking of me, but rather the many elderly and aging drivers who are borderline hazards on the road already. You may not have this phenomenon where you live, but here we have a constant influx of retirees, and have had for 25 years. And they're only getting older. I do indeed appreciate many loud exhaust notes, just not the ones that are, as another has described them, "hick noises". Neither am I trying to be the "sound police", just presenting another opinion for the consideration of the OP. I apologize if I have offended your fragile little ego.
On the other hand these loud exhausts might be just the thing for those elderly drivers with bad hearing. If my loud exhaust keeps just one old bluehair from pulling out of an intersection in front of me or stepping off the curb, then Ill feel like it was worth all the money I spent to make my truck so loud. Thank you for bringing up that point! We really do need to keep these trucks as loud as possible (of course with the exception of those with straight pipes).

as for sound i belive its personal and since it is personal i like the sound once the the exhaust warms up.
but as for performance i havnt noticed any lose since my true dual were installed. it still pulls my dads 6000lb boat the same and still get the mpg. so i dont see where performance comes into it. maybe my truck is just one in a million that runs the same way no matter what you do to it but on a serious note what makes the performance go down without a x-pipe
my set up is 4 stock cats, the factory y cut apart, 2.25 inch pipe running to the back, and 45ed out with 4 inch tips
