Yea the 5.4 should sound about the same, it wont help mpgs that much, you may notice a little change, but not all that much. But like i said itll sound better, plus its cheap.

Ok sounds good, the only thing that bothers me is inspections..will it pass inspection without a muffler in New York?

Yea, as long as you got all the catalytic converters your in good shape. The muffler doesnt do anything but make the exhaust quiter

if you do have a conservative driving habit, then I can say you will probably see a small noticeable increase. probably around the .7-1.0 mpg range...IMO.

btw, got any more pics of your truck by chance?
since I am eBay retarded with searching, can you send me a link to the exact fan you bought that'll work with our trucks. I have an 03 5.4 and I'm also on my iPhone in Mississippi waiting to go home to tn(just got back from Iraq) and I've been emailing my brother links and he orders stuff for me. thanks yall!

That's a nice mpg gain, do you still have the catalytic converters on there? How do you get it inspected?

How does the straight pipe affect back pressure? I tow a lot and need all the torque I can get but still want that sound of a straight pipe but heard back pressure is an issue.
