It will sound better yes. Stock will sound fine though. All about how much money you want to spend.

How much do you think it would cost to have the stock replaced with 3 inch pipe? and does your truck just have 3" pipes and a bullet, no other mods to the exhaust.

Usually about $150 for all new 3" pipe including labor. I have no other mods to my exhaust other than an intake.

If your truck is 99-03 than run a 3.5". 04-08 run a 4". Good choice on exhaust!

My thread just got jacked Haha. No worries, glad to hear we're gonna be running the same exhaust. I'm thinking about getting some high flow cats and having the shop fab them in while they're under her as well.

So if I remember right I will have 4 kitty cats under there correct? Two for each side? Should I just remove two of them and put 2 high flows? What would the best set up be?

Best setup is to remove all 4 and replace with 2 HFs. You can go cheap route and just remove the rears but youll get a CEL and have to deal with MIL eliminators.

Why run cats at all? I havent run cats on any of my exhausts on my mustang and it sounds better and gets more power.

more power i doubt it. Your risking getting really screwed if your found without cats.

Welding isn't always necessary. If you ever want to change things up, its much easier. I wish I had bolt in muffler setups so I could run three different sets of mufflers at my leasure.

It shouldnt. As long as the o2 sensors are in front of the new high flows it shouldnt be an issue. You might need extensions but thats no big deal. Make sure he plugs the A:F ratio plugs back in that are before the pre cats
