Magnaflow Cats

Has anyone installed high flow Magnaflow cats and deleted the rears on a 2006 5.4 3v?

Just wondering if there is a noticeable improvement in performance and sound. Do not want to add a drone if i can avoid it.

Thanks!

should only be 2 cats on a 2006 5.4 3V....
it will make the exhaust louder, but not at higher rpm's unless you have a CAI or gotts mod to increase airflow at those rpm's.
drone depends on the type of exhaust you currently have, may be a slight increase, but not enough to think you got a whole new exhaust system. my $.02

Higher tone? Not what I'm after really, if anything I'm looking to drop the pitch and increase its depth. Did you mean louder?

Looking for a deeper, throatier sound actually.

Wasn't really planning on changing the muffler at this point, the SIDO setup I have sounds good, just want to give it a bit more grunt and depth....

I was thinking I could perhaps achieve that with the cat swap,....wishful thinking maybe?
