exhaust pros. powdercoat or no?

gonna get my exhaust done lightning style soon. inspections in august.
im looking at buying these.

http://performance-curve.com/silverv...ac31218sv.aspx

black powder coated aluminized steel.

my question is, will these hold up to heat and normal wear and tear?
i know theyre cheap, thats what im going for. but i dont wanna have to buy new ones in a month because these started flaking and rusting out. if they last a few years, thats fine because ill want something different by then. lol

thanks

I would think that they would be fine. If your worried about it get stainless steel tips and have a shop powdercoat them in a high heat paint (usually satin black). I had mine and my fathers tips done for $35 bucks a pair and they have held up great for about 8-10 months.

thanks.
the other option would be buying stainless tips and a can of high temp paint and painting them just flat black. that might hold up better than the powdercoat. and i can always re paint them if they start to discolor and stuff.

If heat is an issue it might help slightly more.

Heat won't be an issue with powder coated tips.

I did this with the truck I had before the one I have now, its nice being able to repaint them but it doesnt hold up as well as the powdercoat and unless you have some real skill its hard to make everything look even when they are welded under your truck.
