. No no. Custom tuning is a tune filed for your truck only, with your modifications, and your expectations stated, very well worth the $400 some.

You might get 1 or 2 MPG's back with the programmer, but nothing from the CAI. Trust me, I know from experience.

yeah it will help some but people regear to get power back and to save transmissions not to get better milage.

Spot on. A percentage of his MPG's might come back after the regear, but he really shouldn't be too worried about it if he's planning on spending however many thousands it would cost to lift it and regear it.

one is cheep and is about (or is) the same thing, one is more $$ but looks and sounds change.
I paid $170 for my AEM brute force from a member here, it was used but in great shape.
