Do i need o2 extensions with the 94106s on my 05?

Went to my exhaust shop today to get a quote on my exhaust. He suggested to put the truck on the lift and check out everything under there.

We were looking at the 2 OE cats and noticed that the o2's are threaded right into the cats themselfs.

What are you guys doing with the o2's that had the stock 2 cat set-up, now the Magnaflow 94106 cats?

The passenger side o2 wire looked long enough, but it dosen't look like the drivers side is going to be long enough to put after the drivers high flow cat.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks!

On my truck which is an 04 the O2 bungs were not in the cats but just a little before the first cat and a little after the first cat. When I did long tube headers I found that you can push the o2 connects out of their clips and you get about another 3-6 inches on each of them and they dont dangle to where they will touch anything and melt. I sort of doubt you'll need extensions, but even if you do its easier to extend the wires like I did.

You won't need extensions. I had my sensors put directly in the outlet flange of the Magnaflow cat. There are a few others on here that had to do that as well since the OEM harnesses are pretty short. Works like a charm!

x2 to 08FX4. Mine have been done since the end of December 09 and no problems.

You may also need to mount the Magnaflow farther forward, closer to the manifold.

If the installer does it the right way then no.

Alright, so basically i'll tell him to move the cat as far forward as possible to make room for the o2.

I'm having a hard time visualizing this, you pulled more wire out of the o2 itself, making it longer?

They only way you should need extensions is if you swap the headers. I have extensions on my dynatech setup but only because the header pushes the cats back a good amount.
