Yeah I bet. Fun stuff to get involved in. These 2004+ truck frames are excellent though. The old school open C channel frame rotted quickly, but whatever Ford treated these fully boxed frames with make them look beautiful. I guarantee it if you scrub some spots in your frame, then clean it with a dressing ( Hyperdressing, or some tire shine ) it will be nice and black.

Thanks guys for the kind words...

I've spoken to each of you at some point getting some pointers, tips, info, or discount codes...

I'd like to say thanks for all the help in this, I'll be asking for more as my projects continue.

This weekend I've got supplies to paint my calipers, the non-contact portion of my rotors, and I'm going to revitalize the scissor mechanism on my E-brake as I do have quite the shudder at highway speeds... I've gotten all these tips on this forum!!

I have a camera and will take pics, but Looks like most of these have Tech articles already...

This exhaust has woken my truck up... no real performance gains that I notice, but I LOVE the way it sounds when I drive!!!

I may consider the high flow cats in the future FTW!!

I can do that when I get my camera charged back up...

I can tell you that it is 3" aluminized pipe that starts (welded to) at the stock y-pipe. I asked that it be as straight as possible, but when we prefabbed everything, it was apparent that a straight pipe wasn't going to work... so some smooth bends were made in order to keep the alignment and use some of my stock hangers.

So it's 3" aluminized with an offset bent into it...

Pic coming soon...

alright cool, so you could say that the stock tubing is 3" or 2.5"? because i dont want to mess with the stock piping at all, in fact i would like to clamp my muffler, magnapack 3"SI/3"SO, to the stock pipe then run the rest of pipe welded after the muffler, just in case i ever weant to change my muffler to something else i dont necessarily hacksaw into the existing rust free hardware.....sorry if im making it a big deal lol

Nice setup. You guys are making me come around on Split Side when compared to my Split Rear.

I agree with Darren on the cringing but I cringed for a different reason. Welds can lead cracks and a cracks in the frame aren't good.

stock is 2.5, just get a 2.5 inlet and outlet magnapack and more pipe of course. But just clamp the muffler in.

^^^^ Yep....

it'll be 2.5" if you either use the existing mid pipe, or if you hook on at the Y-pipe...

just clamp on your magnapack, and get some piping bent... and, I guess, use bolt-on hangers :-P

I'll keep an eye on mine... Ipromise, I can see them very readily...

It's Raining outside right now and I don't feel like rolling around in the water to get the picture... I'll almost bet that someone has a pic up somewhere?? If not I'll try when it dries up.

I like them like this... I've seen a few folks running around with their exhaust tips on display... They look fine, but... I've been there and done that...

I DO like the way that Darren has his, I had mine done similar, just tucked up a bit higher, keep it a little cleaner... could it have been a bit lower with less of a steep exit angle... yeah... I'd have like it just as much... at least for now I have a unique rear-view compared to others in my area...

Now... I'm going to navigate over to PHP.... hmmmm

yeah me too, i thought you were not supposed to weld on these newer frames because they are hydroformed or something
