exhaust gurus:

I have an '07 FX4. Exhaust is stock except for an 18" si/so magnaflow. I'm looking to replace the original cats with magnaflow cats.

My question is, is the magnaflow muffler I currently have going to work with the high flows? I want duals, so a Y-pipe after the muffler? Or just buy another identical muffler for true duals?

Also, what is the best place to buy the cats and the simple 02 sensor pipe? I've heard performancepeddler, but have had problems locating part numbers.

Thanks for all the help.

Go to SummitRacing.com and find the parts you need since their search feature is excellent and simple, then retrieve the part #s and order the parts from performance peddler.

Funny thing is i'm wearing one of my Summit Racing t-shirts as we speak, and I just explained how to use their features to buy elsewhere

You can do it all at Summit, they do match Performance Peddlers prices with the discount coupons. BUT if you are ordering and have to deal with shipping and what not might wanna check on the differences of that (I didnt deal with shipping to know).

Summit is about 30 min drive, called them they had my stuff in stock, matched Performance Peddlers price, all good! Oh yeah gained some Summit Points to

I guess my next question is... will the magnaflow i currently have sound better in true duals or with a y-pipe?

also, i'm looking at custom tunes from Justin at VMP, do I need to mention the exhaust mods?

Thanks again

IMO true duals always sound better. They're usually a lot deeper and more aggressive than SIDO/SISO setups.
