I had one on my Expo for a little over a year. I paid $3something new from summit for it. The only up side is the SS tip and a little better sound. There very easy to install but I would recommend welding the tip on and not just using the POS hose clamp that FM supplies with the kit. IMHO the whole FM thing is dead it was cool as a kid but now it’s just a cool sounding OEM replacement muffler. When I had my tuner weld my new set up on I was so happy about the felt power gain I forgot all about getting it back to resell. If you don’t mind just paying for sound then do it but don’t think you will gain a thing from Flow punk in the least. Another thought is to get rid of the factory major choke point which is the Y

This kit also comes with the Flowmaster 50 series muffler, a very tolerable muffler.

Darren, i noticed your running magnaflows and whats your opinion on running an 18" magnaflow vs. the 50 series flowmaster from a sound and performance standpoint?

I would strongly recommend a set up similar to mine and YES definitely get rid of the stock Y. All I was saying is in my opinion that the Flow master will not bring you any performance increases and that it will sound better then the stock muffler. I believe I paid $350 for mine and it was a waste for my application. I’m not trying to discourage you in the least but a magna flow straight thru for that mater would bring not only a better sound but also a little bit of performance as well. I don’t know what your budget is for this project but gutting the cats all 4 and adding a bigger 3in pipes from the LT or Shorty headers with a 3in y to 3 1/2 to a straight thru 3 1/2 muffler and a custom tune to stop the CEL from coming on might be what your looking for both sound and performance wise. If you’re on a budget don’t waste the money for the Force II system just get a FM muffler and have a shop weld it in place of your stock muffler and have them add a tip. All said and done this route you should be spending way less then the $350 for the whole Force II kit and you will still get the same results either way.

The 50 series will have a low, yet better heard idle than the Magnaflow 18", however, the rev from the Magnaflow will be much smoother and deeper, and it will sound much richer going down the road.

I couldn’t say for sure because I had the Y replaced along with the 3in pipes leading up to it and then having the magna flow welded in which I had already bought then my tuner welded in 3 1/2 pipe out that all came out to $588 with tax. I did notice he paid $90 for the Flowmaster Y pipe I can ask him for the part number if you want.

Probably not much of a difference between the 4x9 or 5x8. There's also the 11" oval, #11366, if you want a little more rumble.
