Found a shop in Houston that...
... uses stainless pipe with mandrel bends, puts the muffler on of my choice (most likely Magnaflow 14"), and installs tips of my choice for around $430 drive-out. I'm thinking this is a decent deal, right?

Check with 1. brads muffler shop in alvin tx or 2. deer park muffler in deer park tx. deer park muffler did my true dual setup with bullets tips and new pipe for 400 less than everyone i called around.
Edit 'cause of Darren's comment: I thought it sounded like a good deal. A bolt-on kit runs that much or more. I think I would've already been to that shop but it requires planning 'cause it's kinda far from the hacienda.

Okay, so I called the other muffler shop. They say that it's better to go true dual with the X pipe for $450. He says it'll give me better performance and better sound. I have the 4.6L so would the SI/DO perform better or should I go true dual with an X pipe?
I have a friend who had the Ripley's location on FM1960 put an exhaust system on his 2010 Mustang and he was very pleased with their service and the quality of their work.....

I say true dual, thats opening the exhaust up alot more than a si/do setup i was really suprised on what sound performance and even gas mileage (if i can keep my foot out of it) i got with true dual
Well, that's a deal-breaker. I didn't ask the Deer Park guy about that stuff when I was on the phone. Thanks for bringing it up.
