Question Roush Off Road vs. Banks Exhaust?

I am getting mixed opionions in regards to up-grading my Exhaust system. I dont want anything that is going to make my gas milage go down! I heard that the Roush Off Road Exhaust, from the Cat Back is the way to go. I aslo heard that Banks makes a good exhaust too. Do you guys have any suggestions?

I've had both and they both sound good. ROR is louder and the Banks Monster exhaust is deeper. The Banks exhaust fits a little better than the ROR. Most people have problems getting the tips lined up right.

Roush Off-Road definitely an excellent cat-back.

Yes its 2009. Well if thats the case, I guess that narrows it down to Banks. Unless you have a better suggestion?

They do, The company that Roush has now making their kits in t-409 was in the making of fabbing a kit for '09+ last winter They should have it out by now. Call Roush and ask. There is a hanger difference for tailpipes and intermediate pipe offset so a 04 - 08 kit wont quite fit up exact. The heatshield for the spare tire is a PITA for dual tails too.

I have the old school ROR made of all t304 stainless and it is by far a superior kit to any out there. Sound is phenomenal compared to any cat back kit on the market. It is made by Borla, though as stated the piping is now made of 409 stainless but the muffler is still made by Borla. Tips are still 304.

The 409 will get a slight surface rust, but will not rust through at all. It's only a cosmetic thing. Most cat backs out there are made of 409, as I think the Banks kit is, except for muffler and tip, just like the ROR.

I'm glad that we bought our "Roush Systems" when we did, made out of the T-304 stainless! I was told that the T-304 will outlast the Chassis of the truck when it comes to rust! They have gotten cheapened through the years!....Like eveything else!........
