Exhaust change!!!!!!!!!!
i know i know guys, the thread is worthless without pics and videos BUT
they will come tomorrow!!
i finally pulled the trigger on changeing my exhaust from straight out the back
to before the rear tire and all i can say is wow!!!! what a difference tone wise.
the tone got much deeper, BUTTTT after all the talk about drone and it being really loud
i giggled. in my opinion it got louder, but at times my old set up was louder
no idea why hah but i LOVE the way it sounds now.
also i was going to get rid of my x pipe and throw an h on there but the shop
said they couldnt do that because the pipes would be so close together and its
almost impossible to put an h. he suggested i leave it TRUE DUAL but iwasnt gonna have that.
anyone else get that before??
again, sorry for no videos or pics!!

Sweet deal, so what exhaust are you running anyways? I forget. Are you the guy with the yellow FX4 with Bullets & hi flow cats?
1: Could be due to your surroundings from where you are comparing. When your driving in the right lane and your closer to a wall/building, it echos off it much better, not to mention the added volume from shortening your tailpipe length. With it straight out the back, you have a better chance at loudening up the surroundings in the left side of the truck. With it exiting before passenger tire, theres no volume going towards the left side so those surroundings will not increase the exhaust volume sound.
2: Not really true, no excuse. He could have done the work but did not want to do all of the hard work it would have involved, My Silverado had an H pipe that was only 1.5" wide. Closer the better. But X pipes are better for torque and scavenging balancing anyways. But no crossover isn't best for a truck because of the offset of the left bank, the bend it takes and additional pipe has an effect on tone, and scavenging.
