Depends on your price range. Longtubes are the best way to go for volume increase and performance increase, but its a very difficult task, and you will need a custom tune.

Your best bet is to get a pair of shorty headers and replace the gasket, or just replace the gaskets and re-install but use Grade 8 stainless header bolts

Since your truck is 2004, it has 4 stock cats. If you buy a stainless Longtube header kit with cats ( $600 for the OBX LT headers, cats, and Y pipe, or $1400 for the Dynatech LT headers, all four needed O2 extensions, cats, Y pipe with proper dual 2.5" to 3" outlet Y pipe ) so you will be forced to run just two cats. But the header kits come with the cats so you will be fine.

And before someone corrects me about the OBX kits not having cats, but resonators, thats the $500 kit, for another $150 you can get the hi-flow cats.

obx is very nice. i would choose them as i cant justify saying pacesetter because you have to get universal cats, get them welded in and 02's extended. if you dont want that much work, either obx or dynatech makes less work but more expensive.

dont go shorties, waste of money. they improve sound and NO power change. long tubes or nothing imo!
