Help in exhaust decision

Hi,

I have a 2008 f150 harley davidson, i am wanting to get a new exhaust that is either dual out the rear or side, im not looking for true dual. But i am looking for it to be LOUD!!!, not to loud to the point wher its annoying but you get the picture. anyways i dont even know where to start on what type of exhasut to get. theres so many differnt things like H Y and X pipes, Si/So, Si/Do, pipe size, muffler size, and who knows what else. long story short i have no clue as to what any of this stuff means so if someone can maybe explain it or suggest a good muffler or exhaust kit that would be great. im thinking of maybe just buying a muffler and having the pipe work done at a local shop that i know of. anay suggestions would be appreciated, youtube videos really just dont help

i just put the banks power pack with the dual tip monster exhaust on my 5.4 FX4. i wish it was better. start up is not loud at all. pedal to metal it somewhat comes "alive." not to mention when im on the frwy and i accellerate sometimes it hits a specific tone and the whole truck resonates but not in an exhaust manner. i say dont buy this.

I would put a Borla S-type on it since it is a performance truck, make it sound like one

I would just swap the muffler for a borla. The harley's have a nice system, just chop out the muffler and have one welded in.

Yeah, that would be my choice. No hi flows for a bit to see how the muffler breaks in, then add them later if need e. My 14" maggie is broken in now, going to be picking up hi flows in a few weeks Installed in May or so when I get out of school

If you want dual tailpipes, Magnaflow 14" SI/DO, muffler #12198. Will retain low noise inside, and a great tone outside.

I cannot prove it for certain, but I believe the S-type/Stinger mufflers are Ceramic inside like the XR-1, so if thats the case, there wouldn't be a break in time, but like I said I cant prove it. Its surely the right way to go. They're a heck of alot smaller than the XR-1s

http://www.americanmuscle.com/borla-...-99-04-gt.html

But I would surely suggest not going with the S-type because they are basically a race series muffler, very very loud. I would say the OP would want something stainless in an oval body, like what your running

Even with stock cats the Bullets and SLPs can be quite loud inside.
