Would this be too loud?

Based on the answers to my questions in previous threads, I am going to run dual 2.25 with an x-pipe. I am trying to be cheap though lol. I watched a lot of videos with 2.25 true dual glasspacks on these trucks and I think most of them sound pretty sweet. They don't seem that loud in the videos compared to a lot of other setups, but I keep hearing everywhere that glasspacks are really loud. How loud are glasspacks compared to a 18" magnaflow? Would it have to be a 24" to in the same ballpark? I'm not expecting anyone to know exactly, but speculation is perfectly acceptable

24 is quieter then 18....18 quieter then 14...and so on and so forth. Your 14" maggie is going to be louder. Its personal preference when it comes to exhaust. I dont like glasspacks because I think they are cackly and annoying... you can probably go just about anywhere and get a custom setup welded on for 250-350 bucks. I had true dual 14" maggies put on for lik 360ish. Im happy with it and its throaty and loud when i want it to be. Ive also had 40series flows SIDO and it sounded pretty good too and around 280ish installed. If i did it all over again id have Borla or Roush off road. Anyway not sure if that even helped at all. Sounds like you already know what you are going to do anyway. Put up a clip when you are finished and good luck

ive ran open 3" headers as well as cut-outs and its VERY VERY loud talked to a buddy on the phone said he put his phone down and at WOT he heard me cleary from 1 1/2 miles away.

the drone at 40 in lock up is horrible. at 70MPH the drone goes completly away.

but 40MPH and down is very very loud in the cab

ha as some of you may notice my answer to loud is always open headers

I'm looking for mean without being over the top loud. I want it to be civil when I need it to be (going to work in the morning) but be much much louder than stock when I am on it. I'm kind of thinking of going with a long(ish) pair of glasspacks maybe 22 or 24. I guess the best way to put it is that I don't want to wake up my neighbors when I start my truck, but I'd like them to know its me if they are already awake

I think bullets would be too loud for what I am looking for. I want something that will have some noticable rumble but not set off car alarms pulling out of the driveway. I want to put some foot in it before it gets loud and be somewhat civil the rest of the time. Something comparable in volume to a decent sized oval cased magnaflow. I would just get magnaflows if it weren't for something about the tone of them on these trucks doesn't do it for me. I like the sound (and price) of the glasspacks though so I am trying to get the sound I like at the volume I want. I guess I can just go with the longest glasspacks I can find and for another $60 swap it for a smaller size a bit later if its too quiet.

You see to have made up your mind on the maggies, but if you want, check out my video on youtube (same username as here). Absolutely love the way it sounds.

Round body magnaflows might be another option. They make them up to 7" bodies, and up to 30" long cases. They sound different compared to the ovals.
