^ Go for it! I would suggest using the flex pipe, but not for the 90. I would use a mandrel bent 90, then use about 6 inches of flex to isolate the two.

there is a better tip then that imo. i haven't seen one in a while but it has heat shield behind the mounting flange to prevent paint damage, it also come out of more of and oval and has two round tips in it. as i recall though it was a bit more expensive, but i saw it on a lightning once and it looked amazing. ill see if i can find a link later after im done with the ecology hw.

yeah it definitely looks better. actually looks like an exhaust instead of just a big hole like your gas filler door broke off.

i always thought it would be cool to run your exhaust out the side of the front end like the old WW2 fighter jets. for example... http://www.justmustangs.com.au/p51-m...-Mustang-1.JPG
except its illegal to drive with it like that. but it would work for a show truck or a straight-up track truck

I considered that dual tip style, but its actually too big for my bedside, the one I got it already 7" wide. And with that one being 8" wide I think it would look kind of silly in there. Another reason I went with the one I did is because it gives the illusion of a straight pipe with a 45* cut, which is what I wanted in the first place theres just not enough room to do that.

I ordered the tip yesterday, should be here Monday. I'm gonna keep my Borla XR1 for now and just use the 90* as all flex piping to see how I like the sound, and if I change to the spin-tech I will do as was said before 90* mandrel, and then a 8-10" piece of flex to the tip.

Here's mine...I had planned on running it out the back, but forgot I used the pipe I had on a buddy's car. So about 1 hours work, a welded Thrush 3" muffler , 3" U-bend, a 3" to 3 1/2" transition, and a tip from a 6.0 F-350 and here we are. I pretty much just made due with what I had lying around the garage.

Some of ya'll dont read very well, haha It will be run through the side of the bedside, not under it.. not stacks out top.. but a hole in the side with a tip.
Thanks for the pics showing it UNDER the bedside, but thats not what I was looking for.

FedEx says it should be here today, so I'm going to go get a good sized piece of 90* mandrel to cut down and some 3" flex.. Vatozone only had 2.5" flex pipe so I'm gonna have to do some hunting to find it any bigger. Depending on how cold it is I plan on cutting a big ole hole on Sunday and putting my siiiiiic welding skills to use haha.

Yes there will basically be a hole in the side of my bed, with a tip inside of it. But it wont really be a "hole" you wont be able to see through it once the tip and everything is installed. There will be a 7x5.5" oval shaped polished surround piece that is riveted to the bed side, which goes around the tip (which is a 3" 45* slant cut)
