cat question

ive got a 97 f150 with the 5.4 and i was wondering if it is possible to cut my cats off without hurting anything in my truck. I live in GA so we dont really have any strict rules like in CA. I think my truck has 4 of them and it has 160,000 miles so i bet they are not in good shape anyways. I would like to get rid of them and come out with true dual magnaflows. yall think that would sound good?

You really should be tuned to run no cats so you dont run lean, and it will disable the CEL.

And it'll sound pretty decent.

Yes you'll be alright with the rear ones out but you will get a CEL still. Read up on the Gotts O2 mod to eliminate it.

Magnaflow also offers universal stainless steel piping, as does Mandrel Bend solutions.
