Its 2.25" aluminum steel piping. Its just cheaper materials all the way around, with no welds, only clamps. Thats weak. If your going to do any exhaust work, have it done right in Stainless Steel.

Thanks migdaddy and tarajerame, I am clueless about exhaust. What you guys suggest Flowmaster or Magnaflow? Doesn't have too be too laud but sound like a truck. My F150 is so quiet feels like a small car.

Buy that Super 44 muffler in t-409 ( part #8430452 ) it will sound good, and have a shop fab your tailpipes up in 2.5", and throw some tips on.

Borla is nice, but a chambered muffler is more aggressive sounding with more stock exhaust components so thats why I suggested the 44, especially since its t-409 stainless now.

I talk a lot about the org. 40, but the 44 does sound good with stock cats.

Good choice on the muffler but if you would have held off for a minute I was just about to post and let you know that you could get it for $73.77 w/free shipping from Performance Peddler. Looks like Summit is $95.64 shipped and has an estimated ship date of 2/5/10 for those mufflers!
