Good muffler choice. Respectable and a nice low key rumble

Great choice with the longer can. I went a similar route and went with the SIDO version of what you've ordered. Plenty loud when you want it to be, but nice and quiet as well.

It's weird because a while back I made a thread about getting shorties vs getting window tint (which in Vegas during the middle of the summer shouldn't have even been a question) and everyone who posted on there said short tube headers don't increase low end torque because their piping design along with piping diameter over stock is less restrictive. My dad also has shorties on his Ram and his TQ curve went up to 4200rpm over 3900rpm. His truck is an 05 single cab Ram Hemi with a Paxton Racing intercooled supercharger. He had it dynoed when it was bone stock with just the s/c and a Flowmaster setup like mine. Then he was sold into a pair of headers and went back for a retune when he said it felt like he needed to hit the gas a pinch harder to get his speed.

If your going to spend any money on it, you might as well do LT's and get the benefit from it.

Not really, just cut a section off the front and drive your truck with open headers to the shop! That really is my plan... lol

I got the 22" si/so magnaflow for Christmas and hope to get it installed shortly too. I'm going with replacing the factory Y and go 3" back and go out in behind the rear tire. Can't wait to hear how yours sounds! I was going to do a 3.5" tip but the bigger tip might be the way to go, trying to be unique like everyone else I guess

Yeah I think the 5" tip will look sweet- i didn't want to spend the money to go true duals and my truck already has 3" exhaust. Plus I think the bigger tip will give it a little deeper tone. That's what i'm after anyway... Right now everyone around where I live runs their pipe straight out the back and i'm a little sick of that- That's how my last truck was

Many have done it before for cat work . If the customer has no converters and asks to get it fixed, they cant turn down the business legally.
