Got her done. Still listening carefully....she is rather quiet. I was surprised.

Hardly any noise at all on the interstate, and the town-drone is cut down. It is very smooth sounding and pretty deep as well

I think two reasons for being so quiet are that I don't have tips on yet...just the 2.25" pipe slash cut, and it still has about 850 miles before being broken in. I'll try to get a video up tomorrow when it isn't raining

Questions until then??

Good to hear it is almost done man. The tips will project the sound abit better and a more metallic sound to it. She'll start growling with 1k miles and continue to get a hint deeper and louder as the miles rack up

So what did the total on that exhaust run ya for parts and labor? Just curious cause I'm getting ready for the full dual exhaust, headers and all on mine. Going to do the headers and the maggie hi flows my self and then on to the exhaust shop for the x-pipe and the mufflers. Undecieded on the mufflers right now. Real curious on how your Borlas turn out!

I am surprised it is that quiet with maggie high flows, but it will, with out at doubt, sound a lot better with 3.5-4X18 tips

Mufflers + Labor = $305
X Pipe = $40
Tips = $65

Total: $410

Nice! So are you happy with the Borlas or wait and see after the break in? I am still trying to make up my mind on which muffler to go with. I just want a nice deep clean sound. Dont want to make alarms go off or give old ladies heart attacks when I drive by.

Looking forward to some pics and vids soon!!

I just ran around campus with the rear window slid open. Has a hint more of Flowmaster tone than Magnaflows do while still being smooth. I think this is because the holes in the perforated tubing appear to be smaller than to those on Magnaflows... It's weird. But, yea, great tone. From what I've read in other exhaust threads, tips help tone and sound alot. Mine are gonna be 4x12 Rolled at 30*. We'll see how that helps. Drone is down alot. One thing I LOVEEEE.

Smooth is honestly the best way to describe it.

Picture Update :)

I'd like to start by showing the design of the OEM Ford Y-Pipe...
Ford's idea, cut a hole in pipe one so the exhaust is SUPER restricted. Look how much pipe is blocking the flow!!!

X-Pipe welded!!

I love how Marvin angled them. Made em fit nice n' tight.

The passenger tailpipe is one piece which is awesome!!

Sounds good, nice & calm, quieter than my Magnaflows. My 11s are pretty loud under strained throttle.

Yea, I'm hoping it'll bite a little more here after a couple thousand miles and tips put on.

From what research I did, it wouldn't have mattered alot. Maybe a little bit, but she is starting to open up...I can tell about 2000-2500 rpm. Approx. 150 miles on it so far.

2.5" pipes will be louder at the accel and WOT, 2.25" would be louder at idle and low rpm. 2.5" will sound clearer because its oversized.
