The original plan was center/center, but he could get these alot faster, so I opted for them.

X-Pipe Pictures :)

Got this X-Pipe off eBay for $39.99 ($24.99 + shipping) to my door. Built solidly, 304 stainless. Looks to be machine welded. 2.5" IN/2.5" OUT.

Length comparison.

Welds actually look very decent. Similar to those on Magnaflow mufflers.

With the mufflers stuck in it.

Good deal. I've got center/off maggies sitting in my dining room waiting to go in with the rest of the true dual system, I was thinking of sending them back for center/center for a cleaner install but I guess it doesn't really matter either way...

Actually read somewhere that if you have a center/off, it makes it a little deeper because the high frequency runs through into the packing versus a straight through where it runs out the end.

Hmm haven't heard that, but doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility. Where did you plan on necking down to 2.25"?

Nice, guessed that with the 2.5" but figured I'd ask anyway. I plan on dropping mine after the cats before the X... looking forward to your install! Polished Borlas look good man...I'm in the rust belt so I went for the natural finish.

I think Borlas only come in one finish. I took some silver utensil polish and shined them up a bit. If you look at the previous pictures, you can see the paw prints and grease that came on them.

It blows my mind that they were made on 10/23/09...and delivered 10/25/09.
