same idea as a larger throttle body, more space for a larger amount of air flowing through. Also you feel all that roughness in the elbow? That roughness causes air turbulence and is less efficient than a smooth one

What do you port it with? Dremel? What tip do you use? I thought that "porting" was basicly enlarging the area...but it was rough...and I was thinkink what you said...that the roughness wouldn't flow as efficient. Who knows---I may take it all apart again to do it. I just don't own a dremel. ---DirtySCREW

I don't either. I used a drill and a rotary piece kit. you get stones and buffing wheels. Just take your time and go easy. Porting is basically enlarging the area.
